Dr. Steve Oosthuyse (Marketing Development Director, SQM) and his SQM Chinese colleagues visited the apple farm recently developed in the Shaanxi Fruit Industrial Group CO, at the end of June 2015 LTD (Figure 1). The objective of the trip was to obtain professional information for the design of fertigation programs for the producers of apple orchards. Currently, the total area of the high-density orchards is 1.334 hectares, all of which has drip irrigation and is oriented to fertigation.

K Plus is different from other potassium nitrates sold in Chile because it is a soluble fertilizer with a 99.7% degree of purity, granting this soluble fertilizer the qualification of a “technical or hydroponic degree”. The higher degree of purity of K Plus translates into a greater quantity of Nitrogen and Potassium (13,7% N and 46% K2O) in comparison to regular potassium nitrate soluble fertilizers of agricultural degree that normally have 13,5% N and 45% K2O.
